Jomolhari Loop Trek

Jomolhari or Chomolhari is a mountain of The Himalayas on the border between  Bhutan and Tibet. This mountain is considered scared to Tibetan Buddhists. It is a popular trekking route in Bhutan of which Jomolhari Loop is the shortest. Those who have a time limit or wish to avoid the high altitude passes can avail of this option. The Jomolhari Loop trek offers spectacular mountain views and a wide range of landscapes, flora and fauna throughout the 8 day loop.  The main attractions of this trek is the breath taking view of Mt. Jomolhari and Jichu Drakey along with the impressive twin lakes of Tsho Phu.

Day 1: Arrive in Paro

Day 2: Trek begins: Gunitsawa village – Sharna Zampa (2850m)

Day 3: Sharna Zampa – Thangthangkha (3610m) 7-8hrs

Day 4: Thangthangkha – Jangothang (4080m) 5-6hrs

Day 5: Halt at Jangothang with plenty of day hike options

Day 6: Jangothang – soi Yaktsa(3800m) 6-7hrs

Day 7: Soi Yaktsa – Thombu Shong (4180m) 4-5hrs

Day 8: Thombu Shong – Gunitsawa Village. Trek ends

Day 9: Gunitsawa Village – Paro

Day 10: Paro – onward journey

INCLUDED

  • Basic English speaking guide. Government certified and trained.

PAYMENT POLICY

The price trip is quoted in US$ and can be paid either by cash (we accept INR, EUR, USD, AUS) at the current public rate against the US$. We also accept credit and debit card payment. We use mobile POS system with the availability of payments to be made wherever there is GSM (i.e. mobile phone) service within India. Please note that all cards are subject to bank charges of between 2.5% to 3.5%. We honor Master card, visa and maestro cards only. A DEPOSIT of 15% of the overall cost will need to be paid to secure your place.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY 

Cancellation by client; In case of cancellation the initial booking amount is a non refundable deposit. There will be $50 USD payable if you transfer your trekking dates to another fixed departure date that we offer provided we have availability on it.

There will be no refund of any kind if I leave the trek – voluntarily or involuntarily- after the trip has started.

 

Cancellation by company; I accept that Adventures Unlimited has the right to cancel the trip without any prior notice  for any reasons deemed appropriate by them. If this is to happen I will receive a full refund of the money I have paid

 

Trip alteration or termination. I accept that Adventures Unlimited has the right to alter or terminate the trip for reasons beyond their control. This may include reasons for my personal safety. In this event I will not hold Adventures Unlimited liable in any way to refund my money.

 

INSURANCE

The traveller is required to buy his/her own travel insurance prior to the trip.
