The Dzongri Trek is one the most popular short high altitude treks in Sikkim. This trek is basically a shorter version of the Goechala Trek which starts from Yuksom and ends up at Yuksom in 5 days. It is customised to provide trekkers with a chance to explore more in a shorter period of time. One of the best views of Kanchenjunga and its ranges in the Sikkim Himalayas can be seen from Dzongri and Dzongri La (view point). You will also get to see some other well know peaks such as Mt. Pandim (6691), Mt Rathong (9979m), Mt. Kabur North (7338) and Goecha Pass (5127m).

Day 1: Trek Begins: Yuksom – Tshoka (3000m / 6-7 hrs) (Camping / Hut).

Day 2: Tshoka – Dzongri (4030 m / 5-6 hrs) (Camping / Hut)

Day 3; Dzongri view point before sunrise. Trek to Dzongri la area (4000m / 4250m / 40 mins) (Camping / Hut)

Day 4: Dzongri to Tshoka (3050m / 4 to 5 hrs)  (Camping / Hut)

Day 5: Tshoka to Yuksom. (1875m / 5-6hrs) Trek ends. Overnight hotel Yuksom



  • Basic English speaking guide. Government certified and trained.
  • Transport to and from Yuksom
  • All meals on the trek, including boiled water
  • High altitude Swiss army sleeping bags (-20) with extra Thinsulate ®  fleeced liners
  • Tents and mats

  • Yaks/ponies for carrying tents and cooking equipment

The price trip is quoted in US$ and can be paid either by cash (we accept INR, EUR, USD, AUS) at the current public rate against the US$. We also accept credit and debit card payment. We use mobile POS system with the availability of payments to be made wherever there is GSM (i.e. mobile phone) service within India. Please note that all cards are subject to bank charges of between 2.5% to 3.5%. We honor Master card, visa and maestro cards only. A DEPOSIT of 15% of the overall cost will need to be paid to secure your place.



Cancellation by client; In case of cancellation the initial booking amount is a non refundable deposit. There will be $50 USD payable if you transfer your trekking dates to another fixed departure date that we offer provided we have availability on it.

There will be no refund of any kind if I leave the trek – voluntarily or involuntarily- after the trip has started.


Cancellation by company; I accept that Adventures Unlimited has the right to cancel the trip without any prior notice  for any reasons deemed appropriate by them. If this is to happen I will receive a full refund of the money I have paid


Trip alteration or termination. I accept that Adventures Unlimited has the right to alter or terminate the trip for reasons beyond their control. This may include reasons for my personal safety. In this event I will not hold Adventures Unlimited liable in any way to refund my money.



The traveller is required to buy his/her own travel insurance prior to the trip.
